Each piece is constructed of hard-anodized aluminum, a non-reactive material stronger than stainless steel that cooks without hotspots, and which is finished inside and out with a nonstick finish. This provides not only quick release of foods but easy cleanup. Look for the raised concentric circles inside a Circulon pan: this is its famous Hi-Low technology. The raised circles take the abuse of utensils, leaving the low areas untouched. Thus, the nonstick finish lasts much longer than that on many other brands. In this set you'll find the ever-handy 1- and 2-quart covered saucepans; an 8-quart covered stockpot for stews, pasta, and corn-on-the-cob; 8- and 10-inch open French skillets for just about any frying need; and a 4-quart covered sauté pan with deep, straight sides that can handle stir-fries, simmering meat dishes, and plenty more. A helper handle assists in lifting. Each piece features a phenolic handle that is oven-safe to 350 degrees F.
